Our lives and livelihoods depend on our name and what it
represents to the people in this community. The name is
worth more than the brick and mortar building, the vehicles
or any money in the bank. It is the only name we have. We
won't get another. Our name determines whom we hire, what we
sell and for how much, what we say, who we are and how we
deliver our services to the families we are privileged to
serve. Home Office is right here, where you know the people
that serve you and where the phone rings next to my bed in
the middle of the night.
The mission of Gatens-Harding Funeral Home is to
create meaningful funerals for those families we are
privileged to serve, to be a focused and innovative funeral
home, and to provide our families with more information,
more choices and more value than any other funeral home in
our area. We will keep our economic mission and our purpose
mission in balance and we will direct our energy, time and
resources toward those we serve, not our competition.
The name on our sign, is not "Funerals-R-Us"
or "Discount Burials" or
"Mortuary Express".
The name is that of the Gatens Family and my family.
